We were one of the first flooring businesses to introduce broadloom carpeting, allowing carpets to be fitted wall-to-wall without any seams.
As the business grew, Sharon Leon moved premises to Castle Street, Inverness. This expansion allowed James to expand into the commercial and industrial markets, with his wife, Heather Sheerin, joining the business to take charge of the office.
They began to outgrow the Castle street premises and demand for onsite parking grew, and James and Heather needed to have their warehouse on the same site as the shop. Sharon Leon relocated for a third time – to the current location at 33 Harbour Road, Inverness.
In 1995, James and Heather’s daughter Jennifer (pictured right) joined the family business, and continues to be passionately involved full-time in the day-to-day operations at Sharon Leon Carpets.
In 20?? we were proud to expand our operation into the Spey Valley Business Park, Dalfaber Industrial Estate as part of the Highland Home Centre department store.
